Faded Reminders Of A Journey Through A History Of Unbuilt Cities

FADED REMINDERS is a film based in architectural, historical and narrative fictions during a journey across Europe. As a visual landscape the film uses modernist architecture as a filmic terrain on which to overlay a fictional but personal narrative, which alternates between versions of history which are both real and imaginary.

Abstract animation, designed especially for a darkened cinema, Polvo is based on imagery and thoughts collected whilst listening to the Nine Inch Nails track ‘Corona Radiata’ that also forms the soundtrack for this piece. The soundtrack , the production files and the final film are all release under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 licence.

What if you watch a film and whenever you pause it, you face a painting? This idea inspired Reza Dolatabadi to make Khoda. Over 6000 paintings were painstakingly produced during two years to create a five minutes film that would meet his high personal standards. Khoda is a psychological thriller; a student project which was seen as a ‘mission impossible’ by many people but eventually proved possible!
